Well this weekend we did not tangle with big numbers on tarpon bites. On Sat we concentrate on fly fishing, we were able to land a nice medium size tarpon about 35-40 pounds on a 10 wt and another one about 12 pounds out 5 bites. Today we jumped 6 tarpon and land two, one about 10 pounds and the other one was 80 pounds. On our 6 bites we jumped several small tarpon but two of them we solid 80 pounds. We have a lot better tides during this comming week so we should increase on the bite.
Off shore mahi-mahistill ruling from 7- 12 miles from the cost of North Shore San Juan, some wahoos still around. Thank you for your time!!

Today Mantis with Capt. David guided a 1/2 day, backcountry charter had over 15 bites, with tarpon up 40 pounds. On Tarpon Sniper fishing 3/4 day we had 18 bites landing 6 tarpon, where 3 of them were between 35-60 pounds. Today we spoted multiple tarpon frenzies at once for the first time this year. Beside the frenzies I saw two other nice spots of small and medium size tarpon. At the same time Capt. David spoted another place where I never fish and he reported very good numbers of tarpon on a specific area as well.
Off shore, most boats fishing north shore San Juan had multiple catch of mahi-mahi during the day. On the south side of the Island multiple hook ups of blue marlin per boat were reported today with a mix bag of big mahi-mahi. Stay warm and visit PR for a exceptional tarpon fishing experience…..the best action is yet to come, this report is just the tip of the iceberg. Thank you for your time.
