Warming up!!!
The water temp has been normal in the last week with a steady 74-77. These water conditions, combined with good early morning tides and late in the afternoon are starting to provide some world class tarpon action. In the last two trips, I personally guided one morning with 13 bites up to 40 pounds and today 14 bites, 6 on fly and 8 on bait. The biggest tarpon hooked up was solid 75-80 pounds. We also hooked 3 other in the 50-60 pound range. Late in the morning we spoted a massive size frenzy of small to medium size tarpon. We were not able to reach them at the burst of action. All this are excellent hints for explosive and steady action for tarpon in the lagoons. Thank you for your time!!
